Milano Design Week 2026: ELKA takes centre stage at the Arredo Outdoor & Yacht Design evening
Milano Design Week returns to transform the city into a vast platform of ideas, materials, and visions. And once again, it is in the dialogue between disciplines that the most compelling insights emerge: the one between outdoor furniture and yacht design is perhaps the most evocative, because it places at its centre the way we inhabit threshold spaces — terraces, decks, jetties, environments that are never entirely indoor nor entirely open.
It is within this context that ELKA takes part in Arredo Outdoor & Yacht Design MDW 2026, the event organised by LABOUTIQUE Home Concept together with DDN – Design Diffusion News.
The event
Friday 24 April 2026, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM, the LABOUTIQUE Home Concept showroom in Via G. Pisoni 6, Milan, opens its doors for an evening with cocktail bar and live music, designed as a meeting point for architects, shipyards, brands, and enthusiasts of the nautical and outdoor design world.
Sharing the space and the narrative with ELKA will be Nautys, Marine Collection, Berto, and The One Yacht & Design: a line-up that spans the full spectrum of contemporary nautical design — from furniture to technical complements, from signature pieces to tailored detail.
The common thread
Outdoor and yacht share far more than meets the eye. Both worlds ask design to face the same challenge: to withstand time, salt, and sun — and to do so without giving up elegance. These are environments where every element, from the armrest to the countertop to the faucet, must be beautiful, and remain so for years.
This is where ELKA has always shaped its identity: design faucets for the marine world, drawn and manufactured in Italy with a care that springs from a deep knowledge of the environment in which its products live. It is not only a matter of technique — alloy selection, surface treatments, tolerances — but of a design sensibility that treats the faucet as a furnishing element in its own right, a protagonist of spaces increasingly curated in their aesthetic dimension too.
What to expect on the evening of the 24th
The evening will be the occasion to see ELKA's latest collections up close and to meet the team to discuss ongoing projects. But above all, it will be an informal moment of encounter — glass in hand, live music, and that particular energy only Milano Design Week knows how to create.
